ABA Credentialing

ABA credentialing services built for BCBA-led groups

We credential BCBAs, BCaBAs, and RBTs, enroll your ABA group with commercial payers and Medicaid, and keep your roster clean as you hire — so authorized sessions actually get paid.

Why ABA groups choose Credify

Credentialing that understands autism and behavioral care

We speak ABA payer language

BCBAs, BCaBAs, RBTs, licensed behavior analysts — we know how each payer credentials the role, what proof of supervision is required, and which CPT codes need pre-auth setup.

Group + individual under one plan

We enroll the group TIN and every clinician on your roster, then keep the roster clean as you hire — no more one-off payer projects per new BCBA.

Multi-state ABA groups

State Medicaid rules for ABA vary wildly (autism mandates, EPSDT, MCO carve-outs). We map every state's playbook so growth doesn't stall on enrollment.

Effective-date discipline

We track retro-billing windows and Medicaid effective dates so you're not writing off weeks of authorized ABA sessions.

FAQ

ABA credentialing questions

Do BCBAs need credentialing with every commercial payer?

Yes — most commercial payers now credential BCBAs and BCaBAs directly (not just under the group). We handle the individual CAQH profile, payer applications, and group reassignment for each clinician.

How does ABA credentialing differ from medical credentialing?

ABA payers require additional documentation around supervision ratios, BACB certification status, RBT registry, and often state-specific ABA licensure. Payer applications also route through behavioral networks (Optum, Magellan, Carelon) rather than the main medical intake.

Can you handle Medicaid ABA enrollment across multiple states?

Yes. State Medicaid ABA rules — autism benefit mandates, EPSDT, MCO carve-outs — vary significantly. We map each state's requirements and enroll with the state Medicaid agency plus every relevant MCO.

We just hired 5 new BCBAs. How fast can they bill?

For commercial payers with delegated credentialing or roster add processes, days to weeks. For non-delegated commercial and Medicaid, typically 60–120 days. We file in parallel and use retro-billing where the payer allows it.
